This forum is still new and may look a bit empty at the moment.
Please don’t hesitate to ask your questions. If you are building a Raw Creative 2.5, planning your build or wondering about parts, setup or assembly, feel free to start a topic.
I will do my best to answer questions and help as much as I can. As more builders join, the forum will grow into a useful place for tips, build discussions and shared experience.
Next week we will meet with one of Europe’s largest suppliers of aluminium profiles and mechanical parts.
If everything goes well, this may make it possible for us to offer kits and parts for the Raw Creative build, making it much easier for builders to source what they need.
I also want to apologize for being a little absent lately. I honestly did not expect this project to become this big, this quickly. Looking back, I probably should have done it the other way around: first arrange suppliers and parts, and then release the instructions.
But it became the other way around, so now I am working in the background to catch up and make everything easier.
This machine is a little more complex than many other DIY CNC builds, because it uses more professional components and some parts can be harder to find locally.
Nothing is finalized yet, but I hope everything goes well. I will keep you updated as soon as I know more.
A good supplier setup would also make it possible for me to offer more of my other machine concepts in the future.
This includes stronger CNC machines with Nema 34 electronics, digital saw tables and other machines I already have in the pipeline.
But before I release more projects, I want to solve the parts availability first. I have learned from the Raw Creative project that good instructions are not enough if builders have difficulty finding the right parts.
So the next step is to make sourcing easier, and after that I can start opening up more of the machines and ideas I have been working on.
